What is Garden Room
Garden Room is the flagship of Fjordly's Nordic Collection, our largest and most spacious standard solution.
It's a room of its own in the garden: extra space that stands apart from the house, yet is still part of the home.
In the base solution, one side wall and the back wall are enclosed with wood panel modules, using the same construction and logic as Forma. The front and the remaining side are open by default, and can be closed on request with large glass doors that turn Garden Room into a windproof space usable all year round.
It isn't insulated, but once enclosed with glass it keeps out wind and rain. Heating radiators can be added if you'd like the space to stay comfortable in cooler weather.
Garden Room can also be installed as a mirror image, depending on how it best fits your garden.

Materials and construction
Garden Room is built from glued-laminated load-bearing beams and steel connectors, Fjordly's own construction system, used across all our products, from Compact and Forma to custom Flex projects.
Steel connectors are hot-dip galvanised and powder-coated (RAL 7016). Every visible element is functional, nothing is purely decorative, and everything carries part of the structural load.
Glass walls
In the Garden Room base solution, one side wall and the back wall are enclosed with wood panel modules, using the same construction and logic as Forma.
The front and the remaining side are open by default. If desired, these can be closed with large glass doors that open onto the outdoors, making the Garden Room windproof and usable year-round.
Glass walls can be ordered together with the Garden Room or added later.
Glass walls 3,550 €, installation included.
Garden Room production and installation takes up to 10 days. Glass wall delivery takes up to 2 months, depending on our partner's production schedule.
Integrated LED lighting
Integrated dimmable LED lighting is available for Garden Room as an optional feature.
The slim LED strip is fixed to the wall modules and blends quietly into the structure. You see the light, not the fitting.
The dimmer lets you adjust the intensity to the situation, from practical task light to a soft evening glow.
After sunset, the warm LED lighting turns Garden Room into a striking design feature in the garden, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere.
Lighting can be added module by module: each added module gets its own LED strip:
Base kit (power supply + dimmable controller) 120 €
LED strip for 1700mm module 75 €
LED strip for 2300mm module 95 €

Installation
Installation takes around 2 working days and includes the following stages.
- 01
Precise site marking
We measure and mark the location, taking into account the house, hedge, property line and so on, so Garden Room sits parallel to its surroundings with a tidy overall look.
- 02
Preparing the ground
Garden Room rests on support blocks. We remove the topsoil and peat at each location and compact the base with crushed stone.
- 03
Levelling and base layer
We level the support blocks to millimetre precision and install a durable, class 3 geotextile with a 100-year service life.
- 04
Assembling the load-bearing structure
We assemble Garden Room's load-bearing frame from beams pre-fitted with steel connectors at the factory.
- 05
Installing the roof
We install the roof structure and roof covering.
- 06
Installing the floor
We install the floor structure and floorboards.
- 07
Installing the walls
We install the chosen wall modules.
- 08
Installing the LED lighting
We install the LED lighting.
